One Month of Uncollected Garbage

For one month, the Alam Flora workers have NOT been collecting garbage - this heap of uncollected garbage (photos below) only gets bigger and bigger each day with lots of flies hovering over it and rats scurrying around. This morning yarl restaurant started making loud and deafening noise with its noisy kitchen hood at 5.10 a.m. in the morning. According to the Kuala Lumpur City Hall, yarl restaurant does not have a licence to operate at such an early hour in the morning nor does it have the licence to operate after 10.30 p.m. at night. Why is it that nothing is done when yarl restaurant starts making loud and deafening noise at such an early hour particularly on a Sunday morning? Why is it that nothing is done when yarl restaurant continues to make loud and deafening noise after 11.00 p.m. at night despite our repeated complaints? This clearly shows how useless and irresponsible the Kuala Lumpur City Hall is. I wonder what's wrong with the Government Departments here in Malaysia. Try calling the Inland Revenue Department and all its branches and see what happens? You can call for hours but there is no one to pick up your call!

Why is it that Restoran Sunstar Café can operate without making any noise at all whilst yarl restaurant has to make so much noise to disturb the entire neighbourhood waking everyone up at such an early hour in the morning? As victims of yarl restaurant's noise pollution program, we cannot sleep early because of the kitchen hood noise and we have to wake up very early every morning. Our health is already deteriorating due to lack of sleep. There isn't anything which the noise pollution victims of yarl restaurant can do except to suffer in silence every moment of our lives. We can only hope that members of the public would sympathize with us. Don't you think that yarl restaurant's boss is being very selfish? Each time you eat at yarl restaurant, you are only encouraging this selfish act and causing yarl restaurant's victims to suffer more. If yarl restaurant has nothing to cook, then we don't have to suffer anymore. Why is it that yarl restaurant has to make so much noise whilst Restoran Sunstar Café is not making any noise at all? Why not eat at Restoran Sunstar Cafe? Restoran Sunstar Café is only a few doors away from yarl restaurant (in the same building as yarl restaurant at No 42) but it does not make any noise at all. YARL RESTAURANT STARTED MAKING LOUD AND DEAFENING NOISE AT 4.47 A.M. IN THE MORNING

For a long time I did not write about yarl restaurant's loud and deafening kitchen hood noise not because yarl restaurant has stopped making noise but because I am tired of doing it everyday without any improvement. Our sufferings as yarl restaurant's noise pollution victims are getting worse with each passing day and today yarl restaurant started making loud and deafening noise at 4.47 a.m. in the morning. But what can we say or do about it? As citizens of Malaysia, it seems that we have no right to say or do anything when our rights are infringed. For a long time we fought with yarl restaurant's noise pollution program but what did we get? Nothing. Yarl restaurant's noise pollution program only gets worse every day. This morning, when yarl restaurant started making loud and deafening noise at 4.47 a.m., I thought of sleeping on the sofa in the living room as usual but after lying on the sofa for some time and couldn't sleep anymore after being waken up by the noise, I resorted to writing once again. Why am I writing again after deciding not to do so? My heart is grieving not only for myself but for all yarl restaurant's victims who have to suffer in silence without the right to say or do anything even though we are suffering intensely day and night because of the noise. We will continue to suffer as long as yarl restaurant continues to make noise and the Kuala Lumpur City Hall refuses to anything about it. The only thing we can do is to beg the members of the public not to eat at yarl restaurant. Can the members of the public please help us? Is it necessary for yarl restaurant to make loud and deafening noise with its kitchen hood so early in the morning and late into the night? Restoran Sunstar Café is only a few doors away to the right of yarl restaurant (in the same building as yarl restaurant) and this restaurant operates without making any noise at all. If Restoran Sunstar Café can operate without making any noise at all, why can't yarl restaurant do the same? The fact that yarl restaurant deliberately makes so much noise particularly in the wee hours of the morning and late into the night knowing that everyone is sleeping during those hours clearly shows selfishness on its part. It's time we punish yarl restaurant for its selfishness and the only way to do so is to stop eating at yarl restaurant! Restoran Sunstar Café is only a few doors away from yarl restaurant at No 42. It's time we go to Restoran Sunstar Café and try something new!
